Ginger Oil Softgels deliver the active compounds of ginger root in a convenient, measured softgel. Ginger is one of the most widely used spices and herbal ingredients in the world, and softgels offer a way to take it daily without its strong, hot taste.
Arizone International manufactures Ginger Oil Softgels in India for private label, contract manufacturing, wholesale and bulk buyers. You choose the strength, the shell type, any partner ingredients and the pack, and we take care of production, testing, packing and export documents.
Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is a tropical plant whose rhizome, or underground stem, is used as a spice and in traditional practice across Asia. India is the world's largest producer of ginger. The pungent taste of ginger comes from compounds called gingerols and shogaols.
For softgels, ginger is used as a supercritical CO2 extract or an oleoresin, which carries the gingerols, diluted in a food-grade carrier oil such as sunflower or olive oil. Steam-distilled ginger essential oil contains mainly aromatic compounds and very few gingerols, so the type of ginger material used should always be stated.
Ginger Oil Softgels are made by sealing the oil inside a soft, flexible shell, usually made from bovine gelatin or, for vegetarian products, from plant-based materials such as carrageenan and modified starch. The fill weight and strength are set in the specification, so every softgel in a batch carries the same amount of oil. Softgels also protect the oil from air and hide its taste and smell, which makes them easier to take every day than a liquid oil.
Label claims must follow the rules of the market where the product is sold, and we can help you keep the wording within those limits.
The serving size should follow the finished product label. Ginger can add to the effect of blood thinners and may affect blood sugar, so people taking medication should consult their doctor. Pregnant women should use ginger supplements only on medical advice, and some people notice heartburn or stomach upset.
Every batch is supplied with a certificate of analysis. Typical checks include gingerols and shogaols by HPLC, peroxide value, loss on drying, heavy metals, microbiology, and capsule weight variation and disintegration.
State whether the softgels use ginger CO2 extract, oleoresin or essential oil, and ask for gingerol content by HPLC, as this is the best measure of strength.
Store the softgels cool and away from light to protect the oil, and ask for peroxide values to check freshness.
