Moringa Leaves are the dried leaves of Moringa oleifera, the drumstick tree, one of the most nutritious leafy plants known. India is the world's largest producer of moringa, and its dried leaves are exported for teas, powders, capsules and food products around the world.

Arizone International supplies Moringa Leaves to herbal, Ayurvedic, food and nutraceutical manufacturers, traders, private label brands and bulk buyers. Grade, cut size, cleaning level, packaging and quantity can all be set to your specification.

What Is

Moringa oleifera is a fast-growing tree that thrives in hot, dry climates. In India it is grown widely in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Gujarat, where its long pods, called drumsticks, are a common vegetable. The small, round leaflets are harvested, washed and dried in the shade to keep their bright green colour.

Moringa leaves are naturally rich in protein, fibre, vitamins A and C, calcium, iron and antioxidants. This dense nutrient profile has made moringa one of the best-known "superfoods" in the global market.

After harvest, the material is dried in the sun or shade, then cleaned to remove stones, dust, stems and other foreign matter, and sorted by size and quality. It can be supplied whole, cut into smaller pieces for tea and extraction, or milled into coarse or fine powder. For food and ready-to-use products, steam sterilisation can be arranged to bring microbial counts within export limits.

Tips for Buyers and Formulators

Shade-dried leaves keep a brighter green colour and fresher taste than sun-dried leaves, so ask how the batch was dried.

Moringa leaves can have high microbial counts if not handled well, so ask for microbiology results and steam-sterilised material for food use.

For moringa powder, a fine mesh of 80 to 100 gives a smooth texture for smoothies and capsules, while cut leaves suit tea bags. Moringa loses its green colour when exposed to light, heat and moisture, so pack it in sealed, light-proof bags and store it cool.
