Coriander Seed Extract
Part of our Herbal Extracts range, manufactured and exported by Arizone International LLP.
Coriander Seed Extract is made from the dried fruits of Coriandrum sativum, known across India as dhania. The same plant gives us fresh green coriander leaves, but the seeds have a completely different character: warm, citrusy and slightly sweet, with none of the sharp leafy note that some people dislike in fresh cilantro.
Arizone International manufactures, supplies and exports Coriander Seed Extract from India for food processors, nutraceutical brands, Ayurvedic companies and cosmetic manufacturers.
India and Coriander
India is the largest producer and consumer of coriander seed in the world. Most of the crop is grown in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. The mandi at Ramganj Mandi in Kota district is often described as the largest coriander market in Asia. The seeds are harvested when the plants turn brown, dried in the field and then cleaned and graded.
Coriander seeds have been found in ancient Egyptian tombs, and they are mentioned in Sanskrit texts as well. In Indian homes, a drink of soaked coriander seeds, often called dhania water, is still a common kitchen remedy for summer heat and a heavy stomach.

Quality Parameters
We check raw seed for colour, size, cleanliness and aroma before extraction. Finished extract is tested for moisture, ash, heavy metals, microbial counts and, on request, pesticide residues. Store the extract in a cool, dry, dark place in closed packaging so the aroma lasts.
Tips for Buyers and Formulators
Ask for linalool content if you want a standardised coriander seed extract, and state the solvent used on the COA.
