Turmeric Extract is a concentrated powder made from the rhizome of Curcuma longa, commonly standardised to 10% to 30% curcuminoids or supplied as a ratio extract. Unlike Curcumin Extract 95%, it keeps more of turmeric's other natural constituents alongside the curcuminoids.
Arizone International manufactures and exports Turmeric Extract for supplement brands, food and beverage makers and private label businesses, with custom standardisation and a certificate of analysis for every batch.
About Turmeric
Turmeric belongs to the ginger family and is cultivated across India, which grows most of the world's crop. Major trading centres include Erode in Tamil Nadu, Sangli in Maharashtra and Nizamabad in Telangana. The rhizome is used as a spice and colour, and in traditional Indian formulations.
How Turmeric Extract Is Made
Cleaned, dried rhizomes are milled and extracted with water, ethanol or a water-ethanol mixture. The extract is filtered, concentrated under vacuum and dried into a free-flowing yellow to orange powder. Process and solvent are chosen to reach the agreed curcuminoid level.
