Lotus Oil captures the soft, sweet, powdery and aquatic floral scent of the lotus flower. Genuine lotus absolute and lotus attar are made from the flowers of Nelumbo nucifera (pink or white lotus), while lotus fragrance oils recreate the scent for wider use. Lotus is a sacred flower in India and is used in attars, perfumes, cosmetics, meditation and spiritual products.
Arizone International supplies Lotus absolute, lotus attar and lotus fragrance oil for perfumers, attar makers, cosmetic brands and wellness companies.
The Sacred Lotus
The lotus (kamal) is the national flower of India and holds deep meaning in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism as a symbol of purity, beauty and spiritual awakening. It grows in ponds and lakes across India, rising clean and beautiful from muddy water. Goddess Lakshmi and Goddess Saraswati are often shown seated on a lotus. Lotus seeds (kamal gatta), stems (kamal kakdi) and roots are used in Indian and Asian cooking. Makhana, often called lotus seed, actually comes from a different water plant, Euryale ferox.

Safety and Dilution
Lotus absolutes and fragrance oils must be diluted before skin use. They may contain allergens that must be declared on labels in some markets. A patch test is recommended. Absolutes may contain trace residual solvents within permitted limits. Use within IFRA standards and local regulations. Keep out of reach of children. Not for internal use.
Availability
Natural lotus absolutes are produced in small quantities and are expensive. For larger or cost-sensitive projects, we recommend lotus attar or lotus fragrance oil.
