Geranium Oil is a sweet, rosy, green and slightly minty essential oil steam distilled from the leaves and stems of Pelargonium graveolens and related Pelargonium hybrids. It is one of the most important oils in perfumery and cosmetics, often used to give a natural rose-like scent, and it is also very popular in aromatherapy and skin care.
Arizone International supplies Geranium Oil in several origins for perfumers, cosmetic and skin care brands, aromatherapy companies and private label businesses.
About Rose Geranium
Scented geraniums, or pelargoniums, are native to South Africa. They were brought to Europe in the 17th century, and French perfumers on the island of Réunion (Bourbon) developed the famous "Bourbon geranium" oil in the 19th century. Today, geranium oil is produced mainly in Egypt, China, South Africa, Madagascar and Réunion. India also produces geranium oil, especially in the Nilgiri hills of Tamil Nadu, parts of Karnataka and Uttarakhand, and Indian research institutes have developed improved geranium varieties.
