Black Cumin Seed Oil Softgels contain cold-pressed oil from the seeds of Nigella sativa, known as kalonji in India and black seed in many other countries. The oil has a strong, peppery and slightly bitter taste, so softgels have become the most popular way to take it daily without the taste.

Arizone International manufactures Black Cumin Seed Oil Softgels in India for private label, contract manufacturing, wholesale and bulk buyers. You choose the strength, the shell type, any partner ingredients and the pack, and we take care of production, testing, packing and export documents.

What Is

Nigella sativa is a small flowering plant grown in India, the Middle East and North Africa. Its tiny black seeds have been used in cooking and traditional practice for thousands of years, and they are mentioned in both Ayurvedic and Unani traditions.

The seeds are cold-pressed to produce a golden-brown oil rich in linoleic acid (omega-6) and oleic acid (omega-9). Its best-known active compound is thymoquinone, which is used to compare the quality of different oils. Good-quality oils often contain between 0.5% and 2% thymoquinone, and some premium grades are higher.

Black Cumin Seed Oil Softgels are made by sealing the oil inside a soft, flexible shell, usually made from bovine gelatin or, for vegetarian products, from plant-based materials such as carrageenan and modified starch. The fill weight and strength are set in the specification, so every softgel in a batch carries the same amount of oil. Softgels also protect the oil from air and hide its taste and smell, which makes them easier to take every day than a liquid oil.

Using Black Cumin Seed Oil Softgels Safely

The serving size should follow the finished product label. Black seed oil may lower blood sugar and blood pressure and can interact with blood thinners and other medicines, so labels should advise people taking medication to consult their doctor. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice, and some people notice mild stomach upset.

Quality Checks

Every batch is supplied with a certificate of analysis. Typical checks include thymoquinone content by HPLC, fatty acid profile, peroxide and acid value, loss on drying, heavy metals, microbiology, and capsule weight variation and disintegration.

Tips for Buyers and Formulators

Ask for thymoquinone content by HPLC and for peroxide and acid values, which show how fresh the oil is.

Black seed oil is often diluted with cheaper oils, so ask for the fatty acid profile and buy cold-pressed oil from a traceable source.
