Black Seed Oil, also called Black Cumin Seed Carrier Oil, is a natural botanical oil pressed from the seeds of Nigella sativa. Known in India as Kalonji, this seed has been valued for generations and is widely used today in cosmetic, personal-care, wellness and natural product formulations.
With its characteristic aroma, natural composition and formulation potential, Black Seed Oil suits manufacturers, cosmetic brands, private label companies, wholesalers and businesses looking for quality plant-based oils. Arizone International supplies Black Seed Oil for commercial manufacturing, wholesale distribution, private label projects and bulk purchases, with specifications, processing, packaging and quantities customised to your needs.
What Is Black Seed Oil?
Black Seed Oil is obtained from the small, dark, angular seeds of Nigella sativa, a flowering plant with pale blue flowers. It is not related to cumin (Cuminum cyminum) despite the name "black cumin". In Indian kitchens, kalonji seeds are sprinkled on naan and added to pickles. In the Middle East the seed is called habbatul barakah, "the seed of blessing", and it holds a respected place in traditional and Unani medicine.
The oil is usually cold-pressed to keep its natural character. Its key compound is thymoquinone, which gives the oil its sharp, peppery aroma and has been widely researched. The oil is also rich in linoleic acid, along with oleic and palmitic acids. Processing methods can be chosen to achieve the physical characteristics and quality parameters needed for the application.
