Punarvana Powder
Part of our Herbs range, manufactured and exported by Arizone International LLP.
Punarnava Powder is made from the dried whole plant or roots of Boerhavia diffusa, a creeping herb that springs up everywhere during the monsoon. Its Sanskrit name means "one that renews", because the plant dries up in summer and grows back with the rains. In Ayurveda, Punarnava is traditionally regarded as one of the most important herbs for the kidneys, fluid balance and the liver.
Arizone International supplies Punarnava Powder and root powder for Ayurvedic manufacturers, kidney and liver wellness brands, herbal companies, wholesalers and exporters.
About Punarnava
Boerhavia diffusa, also called red spiderling or hogweed, is a spreading herb with thick, fleshy roots, reddish stems and small pink to red flowers. It grows on waste land, roadsides and fields throughout India, especially in the rainy season. The leaves are eaten as a green vegetable in some parts of India, and the roots and whole plant are used in medicine. Two types are mentioned in Ayurveda: Rakta (red) Punarnava, which is Boerhavia diffusa, and Shveta (white) Punarnava, a different plant, Trianthema portulacastrum, which is sometimes substituted.
