Parsley Powder
Part of our Herbs range, manufactured and exported by Arizone International LLP.
Parsley Powder is made from the dried leaves of Petroselinum crispum, one of the most widely used culinary herbs in the world. It adds a fresh, green, slightly peppery flavour and bright green colour to soups, sauces, seasonings, dressings and snacks, and it is also used in green superfood blends and herbal products.
Arizone International supplies Parsley Powder and dried parsley flakes for seasoning and spice companies, food manufacturers, food service, herbal brands, wholesalers and exporters.
Curly and Flat-Leaf Parsley
Parsley is native to the central Mediterranean. Two main types are grown for food: curly parsley, with tightly frilled leaves, often used as a garnish, and flat-leaf or Italian parsley, which has a stronger flavour and is preferred by many cooks. A third type, Hamburg parsley, is grown for its edible root. The ancient Greeks used parsley in wreaths for athletes and in funeral traditions, and the Romans used it as a garnish and flavouring.
Egypt is one of the largest exporters of dried parsley, along with Europe and the United States. For parsley powder, fresh leaves are washed and dried at low temperatures to keep their green colour, then milled into powder or cut into flakes.
