Noni Fruit Powder
Part of our Herbs range, manufactured and exported by Arizone International LLP.
Noni Fruit Powder is made from dried noni fruits, the fruit of Morinda citrifolia. Noni is a traditional tropical botanical with a long history of use in Pacific Island and Southeast Asian folk practice, and it is now widely used as a raw material for herbal, nutraceutical, food and natural product manufacturing.
Arizone International supplies Noni Fruit Powder and dried noni fruits (whole, slices or flakes) to herbal, nutraceutical, food and botanical ingredient manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors and exporters.
About Noni
Morinda citrifolia is a small evergreen tree that grows in tropical coastal areas from India and Southeast Asia to Polynesia and Hawaii. In India, it is known as Indian mulberry or aal, and it grows along the coasts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The fruit is lumpy and potato-sized, turning from green to yellow to almost translucent white when ripe. Ripe noni has a strong, pungent smell and bitter taste, sometimes described as "cheese fruit" or "vomit fruit", which is why it is usually consumed as juice, powder or capsules rather than eaten fresh.
Polynesian voyagers are believed to have carried noni with them across the Pacific, and it became a traditional remedy in Hawaii and Tahiti. Noni juice became a global health product from the 1990s onwards.
From Fruit to Powder
Selected noni fruits are cleaned, sliced and dried using suitable techniques that remove moisture while protecting quality. The dried fruit can be supplied as whole fruits, slices or flakes, or milled into a fine powder. The powder is convenient for capsules, tablets, drink mixes and further extraction.
