Vitamin K2 MK-7 Tablets are supplements that provide menaquinone-7, a long-acting form of vitamin K2. Vitamin K2 helps activate proteins that direct calcium into the bones and away from places it should not build up, which is why it is often paired with vitamin D3 in bone and heart wellness products.

From Natto to Supplements
The richest natural source of MK-7 is natto, a sticky, strong-smelling Japanese food made by fermenting soybeans with the bacterium Bacillus subtilis var. natto. Researchers noticed that people in parts of Japan who ate natto regularly had better bone health markers, which drew attention to K2. Small amounts of K2 are also found in some cheeses and fermented foods.
Today, MK-7 for supplements is produced either by natural fermentation or by synthesis, and is supplied as powders or oils standardised to a set concentration.

Quality: The All-Trans Form
MK-7 exists in "trans" and "cis" shapes, and only the all-trans form is biologically active. Poor-quality material can contain a high share of the inactive cis form. We use MK-7 with specified all-trans content, tested by HPLC, and stabilised forms such as microencapsulated powder, since MK-7 can degrade in contact with some minerals like calcium and magnesium.
Safety Notes
People taking warfarin or other vitamin K antagonist blood thinners must not use vitamin K supplements without their doctor's supervision, because vitamin K can reduce the effect of these medicines. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should seek advice before use.
