Tulsi Extract

Tulsi Extract is a concentrated powder made from the leaves of Ocimum tenuiflorum (also called Ocimum sanctum), known as holy basil. Tulsi is one of the most sacred and widely used plants in India, and its extract is used in immune and stress support supplements, herbal teas, oral care and skin care products.
Arizone International manufactures and exports Tulsi Extract for supplement brands, tea and beverage makers, Ayurvedic manufacturers, cosmetic companies and private label businesses.
About Tulsi
Tulsi is a fragrant, bushy herb of the mint family, grown across India and found in the courtyard of many Indian homes, where it is worshipped. There are three main types: Rama tulsi, with green leaves; Krishna or Shyama tulsi, with purple leaves and a stronger taste; and Vana tulsi, a wild type. In Ayurveda, tulsi is valued as an adaptogen and a herb for respiratory and immune health, and it is a common ingredient in kadha and herbal teas. Holy basil is a different species from the sweet basil used in Italian cooking.
How Tulsi Extract Is Made
Fresh leaves are shade-dried to keep their colour and aroma, then extracted with water or water-alcohol. The extract is concentrated and spray dried into a green-brown powder with a warm, clove-like, slightly bitter taste.
