Formulation Notes

Iodine is needed in microgram amounts. The adult recommended intake in many countries is about 150 mcg per day, with higher needs during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Supplements usually provide 75 mcg to 225 mcg. Because the dose is so small, iodine is added as a pre-mix, and every batch is tested for content uniformity.

Too Little and Too Much Are Both a Problem
