Rosemary Powder
Part of our Herbs range, manufactured and exported by Arizone International LLP.
Rosemary Powder is made from the dried, needle-like leaves of rosemary, now botanically named Salvia rosmarinus (formerly Rosmarinus officinalis). With its strong, pine-like, woody aroma, it is a classic culinary herb and a popular ingredient in hair care, herbal teas, natural cosmetics and food preservation.
Arizone International supplies Rosemary Leaf Powder and dried rosemary leaves for seasoning and food companies, hair-care and cosmetic brands, tea blenders, wholesalers and exporters.
The Herb of Remembrance
Rosemary is an evergreen shrub native to the Mediterranean, where it grows on dry, rocky coasts. Its old Latin name, "ros marinus", means "dew of the sea". It has long been linked with memory: ancient Greek students wore rosemary wreaths while studying, and in Shakespeare's Hamlet, Ophelia says, "There's rosemary, that's for remembrance". Morocco, Tunisia, Spain and Turkey are among the major producers of dried rosemary.
Rosemary for Hair
Rosemary has become one of the most popular natural ingredients in hair care. Rosemary water, made by simmering rosemary leaves, and rosemary-infused oils are used as scalp rinses and treatments. A small clinical study published in 2015 compared rosemary oil with a common hair-loss treatment and reported similar results after six months, which greatly increased interest in rosemary for the scalp. Rosemary powder is used in hair packs, shampoos and homemade rosemary water.
