About Gokhru

Tribulus terrestris grows wild in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and many other dry regions of India. It has small yellow flowers and hard, star-shaped fruits with spines, which is why it is also called puncture vine or caltrop. The name gokshura is often translated as "cow's hoof", because the spiny fruit can hurt the hooves of cattle.

Note that "bada gokhru" (large gokhru) is a different plant, Pedalium murex. Our Gokhru Powder is made from Tribulus terrestris fruit, which is the plant described as Gokshura in the Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India.
