What Is Jojoba Oil?

Most plant oils are triglycerides, but jojoba is made mainly of wax esters, long-chain molecules that are similar to the wax esters in human sebum. This is why jojoba feels light, absorbs well and leaves little greasy residue. It also makes the oil very resistant to oxidation, so it keeps far longer than most carrier oils.
