Triphala Extract is a concentrated powder made from Triphala, the classic Ayurvedic blend of three fruits: Amla (Emblica officinalis), Haritaki (Terminalia chebula) and Bibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica). It is standardised to tannins and is widely used in digestive wellness, detox and antioxidant supplements, as well as in oral care and skin care products.
Arizone International manufactures and exports Triphala Extract for Ayurvedic manufacturers, supplement brands, oral care companies and private label businesses.
About Triphala
Triphala, meaning "three fruits" in Sanskrit, is one of the most widely used formulations in Ayurveda. It is described in classical texts such as the Charaka Samhita and is traditionally taken at bedtime or early in the morning to support digestion and regular bowel movements. It is also used as an eyewash, a gargle and a Rasayana, a rejuvenating tonic. All three fruits grow in the forests and orchards of India.
How Triphala Extract Is Made
The three dried, deseeded fruits are blended, usually in equal parts as in the classical formula, and extracted with water or water-alcohol. The extract is concentrated and spray dried into a brown, astringent powder. The ratio of fruits can be adjusted to your specification.
