About Moringa

Moringa oleifera is a fast-growing tree native to the foothills of the Himalayas in north-west India. It is now grown across India, especially in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Gujarat, and India is the world's largest producer of moringa. Its long pods, called drumsticks, are a common vegetable in South Indian cooking, and the leaves are eaten as a green in many countries. Moringa is sometimes called the "miracle tree" because almost every part of it is useful.

How Moringa Leaf Extract Is Made

Fresh leaves are harvested, washed and dried at low temperature to keep their green colour. The dried leaves are extracted with water or water-ethanol, and the extract is concentrated and spray dried into a fine, olive-green to brown powder. Unlike moringa leaf powder, which is simply dried and ground leaves, the extract concentrates selected compounds and is used in smaller doses.
