Part of our Herbal Extracts range, manufactured and exported by Arizone International LLP.
Guduchi Extract is a concentrated powder made from the stems of Tinospora cordifolia, known in India as Giloy or Amrita. It is standardised to bitters or polysaccharides and is one of the most popular Ayurvedic ingredients for immune wellness, used in capsules, tablets, juices and herbal formulations.
Arizone International manufactures and exports Guduchi Extract for supplement brands, Ayurvedic manufacturers, juice and beverage makers and private label businesses.
About Guduchi (Giloy)
Tinospora cordifolia is a large climbing shrub with heart-shaped leaves and thick, grey, fleshy stems. It grows across India, often climbing on neem and mango trees. Giloy that grows on neem is traditionally considered the best. Its Sanskrit name Amrita means "nectar of immortality". Giloy became very popular in India during the COVID-19 pandemic and is included in the AYUSH ministry's list of traditional immune-support herbs.
How Guduchi Extract Is Made
Mature stems are cut, washed, sliced and dried. The dried stems are extracted with water or water-alcohol, and the extract is concentrated and spray dried into a light brown, very bitter powder. The traditional starch-rich preparation, Giloy Satva, is a different product made by settling the starch from crushed fresh stems.

Some cases of liver problems linked to Giloy products have been reported in India, in some cases possibly due to misidentification with a related species (Tinospora crispa). Correct species identification is essential. Guduchi is not recommended during pregnancy, and people with autoimmune or liver conditions, or those taking diabetes medicines, should seek medical advice.
