Curcumin Extract is a bright yellow-orange powder made from the rhizome of turmeric (Curcuma longa) and standardised to 95% total curcuminoids by HPLC. It is the most concentrated common form of turmeric's active compounds and a staple ingredient for supplement and food manufacturers worldwide.
Arizone International manufactures and exports Curcumin Extract 95% for supplement brands, contract manufacturers and food and beverage companies, with a certificate of analysis for every batch.
About Turmeric
Turmeric is a perennial plant of the ginger family, grown widely across India, the world's largest producer. Its dried rhizome is a familiar spice and has a long history in Ayurveda. Curcuminoids give turmeric its colour and are the compounds most studied in modern research.
How Curcumin Extract Is Made
Dried turmeric rhizomes are milled and extracted with a food-grade solvent. The extract is concentrated, and the curcuminoids are crystallised, washed and dried into a fine powder. Solvent residues are removed and tested, so residual solvent results are an important part of the COA.
